Im not a fan of the idea of a movie, Id just assume see the tv show go back into production. However I will probably buy it if for no other reason then to support the show. Didn't they say awhile back if the DVD's sold well they would start making the show again? That is kinda what happened with Family Guy wasn't it? As good as Family Guy is Id rather have Futurama over Family Guy.

The term is "just as soon," as in "I would just as soon eat a box of thumbtacks as I would go out with you." Or, rephrased, "If you're waiting for me to do [thing we're talking about], you'd almost have better luck waiting for me to [hyperbolic second option to illustrate distaste]."

"Assume" is a completely different word, which doesn't fit anywhere into that sentence. :P

...That said: I've always been a Futurama fan, so this automatically interests me. However, they're going to chop up the DVD movies to air as episodes on Comedy Central next year...so I may just wait for that.

Not sure how I feel, it seems like it's still Futurama but on the other hand it feels different. Probably because it's a movie and not a tv show so they can get away with more.

I'm quite excited about it. However, it does raise one aesthetic concern: Futurama is the only show I have ever watched where the final episode was the best one. After the four planned movies, the show may feel more roundly "complete," but it almost certainly won't go out with as much punch.

The final episode is one of the few episodes I haven't seen in its entirety. The Devil's Hands, right? It does have one of those nice fuzzy endings, quite reminiscent of the Simpsons back in the days when it actually had some competent drama.

The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings, yes.

Best scene ever:

That clip only shows the actual opera, and has all the dialogue bits in between chopped out. There was a more complete version up on YouTube for a while, but it was taken down by Fox.
