Car (not safe for dialup)
I traded in my pickup for an '05 Mitsubishi Eclipse. 5 speed, 6 disc changer, sun roof, leather seats. 18,000 miles. No scratches or dings that I can see. Got it for 17k.

Re: Car (not safe for dialup)
Nice, now trade that in and get a Lancer Evolution. FWD is for suckers.
On a less serious note, get rid of the chrome rims.

Nice! I love the blue color, but was never a fan of the redesigned eclipses.

For once Smiley has a point! DSM (95-99) Eclipses rock, if you know how to use them that is.
No offense, but I see a ton of women driving these cars. But hey, whatever makes you happy. Are you going to do anything to it?

Re: Car (not safe for dialup)
To me, a car is for going from one place to another. I'm not going to sink a bunch of money into modifying it when a few years down the road I'll end up trading it in for something else. Because of this, I'm much more concerned with the inside than the outside. I love the fact that it's a hatchback so that I actually have room to put boxes etc if I need to.Code-Red wrote:For once Smiley has a point! I seriously agree. imo, those drivers, usually guys, driving down the road with loud thumping music and loud mufflers on a 4 cylinder ricer are douches.butters wrote:To me, a car is for going from one place to another. I loved the eclipses that had factory turbos in them; they kicked arse, and were suprisingly very fast!!!
I am still learning to drive a manual. I basically know what to do, but whenever I'm driving, I always freak out worrying about f'ing up the clutch or stalling out.

Re: Car (not safe for dialup)
If that was true then why would you spend $17,000 on a newer car instead of something cheaper like this.butters wrote:To me, a car is for going from one place to another. Because I don't want to have car problems as soon as the warrantee expires.Calavera wrote:If that was true then why would you spend $17,000 on a newer car instead of something cheaper like this.butters wrote:To me, a car is for going from one place to another. Then buy a 1990 Corolla. Those cars are bulletproof. They last more than 500,000 miles, even when you beat the piss out of them.butters wrote:Because I don't want to have car problems as soon as the warrantee expires.Calavera wrote:If that was true then why would you spend $17,000 on a newer car instead of something cheaper like this.butters wrote:To me, a car is for going from one place to another. Re: Car (not safe for dialup)
I got it for less than the kbb suggested retail value. I'd say that's something at least.btm4k wrote:butters got suckered by the salesman!
