Capcom Game Center - 3RD STRIKE ON PC?

Post by Juan »

From what I've read it'll be some sort of "matching service". The site's in Jap, but I see 3s there :D

I've read about this before, the service allows you to "play 20 capcom arcade classic on the internet". But there really hasn't been any more news about it since. It'll probably be a Japan-only service anyway, so i wouldn't get your hopes too high.

And whilst we're on a similiar topic, CPSIII has been decrypted. And that can only mean good ;)

Street Fighter II is on XBLA. Nobody plays it. Kind of sad, really.

Super Turbo > Hyper Fighting.

It went dead as soon as they made Street Fighter Anniversary Collection backwards compatible.

Just an update on the CPS3 emulation front (which probably deserves its own thread, but whatever),those guys are really progressing at a rapid pace with some major updates yesterday...

It kinda shows you what real emulator authors can do.

Could be related to the problems its been having under the strain maybe? I dunno, its currently collapsed, but theres some more nice WIP shots & a Mame with the CPS3 drivers in to check out in the sticky now, the mame works quite nicely as well good full speed for me

Quite the opposite here; it's cheaper to have a PC in a JAMMA cabinet than an actual CPS3 board.

Yeah, because if not for this, Capcom surely would surely have called up Toshiba last week and had them start cranking out CPS3 chips again...

What are you talking about? This is one of the greatest things to happen to the pile of shit that is the cps3. Finally people can start reviving all of those dead carts. It has to be one of the worst, most unstable and, terriably designed pieces of hardware ever. Thank god for the emulation of this. It will finally drive the cspos3 down in value and collectablity to the point where asshole dont street 3rd strike for like $520 just the cart and cd.

Mame may have pulled level, new builds are out with the latest drivers in and sprite zoom is fixed, I haven't tried them yet though. Well SF III 3 works nicely full speed (minor slowdown on the progress screen though for some reason) and there's a cheat.dat attached for those wanting the basics of health etc.. in em in Mame, its small as its had everything else removed in case you only want Mame to try the CPS 3 stuff, just paste em into the main cheat.dat or set Mame p for more than one if you prefer
