Soul Calibur Legends

Post by FiendWithoutAface »

Last week we talked about Matt Casamassina’s comments concerning a “popular third party fighter heading to the Wii, but with a twist”. We all figured it would be Soul Calibur, and Famitsu now confirms our guesses.

Soul Calibur Legends is heading to the Wii, and it will take the fighting franchise in an adventure direction. This time around you will meet the Soul Calibur characters through your journey, and that is when the fighting comes into play. Details are very scarce right now, but we do know that you’ll be fighting with the Wiimote. More information may pop up later tonight.

Shaolin Monks, anyone? :?

I still maintain that Soul Calibur for Dreamcast was the best game in the series. It's the game that really established the franchise, the characters were the most well balanced, and the fighting mechanics (especially the timing) were the best.

Could be cool, but I can see it more likely being not that great. Soul Calibur II was great for me, but I didn't get to play III and from what I could see it looked like more of the same thing.

I agree about the first game. The second game was cool on the cube because you can kick ass with link but the game itself felt like the same ol stuff. The 3rd game was ok too but seeing how it was exclusive to my least favorite system wanting to play it was ill-fated.

When this is released I'll give it a whirl and if I get hooked again that would be nice.Seeing how nintendo didn't get shaolin monks, it'd be cool to play a game similar to it.
Have you played dreamcast today?

I even enjoyed that game somewhat and I usually can't stand 3d fighter games.
