Source: MaxConsoleASDA has confirmed to trade publication MCV that tomorrow morning they will commence the selling of Playstation 2 consoles for the rock bottom price of £49. This doesn't seem to be a long-term deal, its part of an electrical special sale.
One Asda store assistant told MCV: "Yes, we will be selling PS2s for 50 quid tomorrow morning. But I'd get here as early as you can if I were you. We're expecting a massive response once word gets out – and we've only got a certain number available."
There's probably little chance of anyone reading this in time to get a PS2 tomorrow morning, but the Xbox 360 price drop seems to be slightly more permenant...
Source: MaxConsoleRecently we learned that a retailer in the UK had cut the price of a premium Xbox 360 to just £199 (without VAT). Now leading online retailer PLAY has priced the CORE Xbox 360 at just £149.99 with Amazon also offering the same machine at £189.99. Surely something is going on, we hope Microsoft spit the truth out some time as it seems they are making way for a new model .
