Neo4all RC2

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Neo4all RC2

Post by fox68k »

Hey,

here is the 2nd release candidate of Neo4all :D

This new version features the lastest FAME core and the new FAZE (Z80 emulator for DC). Basically, the emulation speed in some games have been improved, specially in Metal Slug 2 (i recommend to overclock the m68k and underclock the z80 for this game), Art of Fighting 2 and Pulstar among others.

Downloads:

Dreamcast scrambled binary

I hope you enjoy it as much as me.

Greetings.

Is this the new4all CD or the AES version? Or have they finally combined together?

This is great, but I noticed a REALLY annoying bug... It keeps turning off the CDDA music by itself... I'm not sure if it's some kind of button combination I'm doing while in the game... But sometimes the music will stop, I'll check the menu screen and CDDA is suddenly in the "off" position. I havn't been playing anything besides Samurai Showdown 4.

The speed is great on it though... :)

I will take a look at that. I have never experienced that so i guess it could be a bug in that game.

Yep... Seems to be just Samurai. I tried Worldheroes Perfect and Double Dragon and the music stays on... It's a wierd bug though is it not?

Tried some more games... Yep, it's just Samurai Shodown.

Hey Fox, on your next release, can you please release a version with the A and B buttons on the top? I always thought that was a fault in the design of the original and it has a much better "Arcade" feel with the buttons around the other way. :)
