Well it's about fucking time. I'm going to have to reread 1-6 now, because I forgot all of it.
I had some serious fun waiting in line for 5 hours at the Harry Potter party at Books a Million last time (not joking, we had coffee and Gameboys and stuff).
I can't wait. I'll be tapping that the day it comes out.

Bah, can't preorder since i dont know where i'll be in July. Happy to see that it will be released soon though.
I think 6 was not as good as the other ones, but that is just personal preference.
On a side note: i hate the fact that the first two movies had this pretty cool case and the 3rd and 4th have a standard DVD case. I lost the golden snitch that came with the first movie

Not at all. In fact, there are many, many more Harry Potter haters than there are fans.APE wrote:Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't give a shit about these books?
But back on subject, I think I might go to Meijer again this year to get it. It was fun the last time; free cake and punch, door prizes of Meijer gift cards (which were only good after you bought the book ), and hanging out with friends playing a massive game of Uno. It was pretty cool. It's not like we waited hours, we were only there about an hour and a half, but it gets to be pretty fun when a whole bunch of friends get together and go. Some people get a bit crazy about it, though. Last time they had to enforce a rule of 3 books maximum per person due to an incident during the release of Order of the Phoenix where two guys bought three shopping carts full, and it was their 4th stop. They had a truck bed stacked high apparently.
BTW, was the 6th book also retailed at $35? That seems outrageous to me. I paid $16 for Half-Blood Prince.

nah the books are so much better than those movies, for starters you miss out on about half the actual story, as well as a ton of characters/characterization that go with the story.S. Thompson wrote:The end of an era for better or worse...
Personally, I've never read the books, but I felt that, judging from the films, the stories is extremely overrated.
