Well seeing as how APE's sig is annoying enough as of now, I could just imagine what kind of disaster could happen if we raised the limit.

When this poll started, I didn't really care, and I voted "apathetic." However, since then, there have been some very good points made. I'd like to change my vote to "No."

I never voted. Either. because honestly this poll wont make a difference. The matter hasn't been brought up in staff because there doesn't seem to be disagreement between us on the subject. No. plain and simple.

I would like to know how much wiggle room there is. like if I make one that looks great at 33 Kb, but looks like crap at 30 KB can I use the 33 one? Hoenestly I would like it raised to like 35, or 40 KB. Not to much really.

Wow APE, I can't believe how worked up you're getting just because you can't have a big sig. I just don't get it, is this website THAT big a part of your life?

But from my counts we have 9 staff that's against and only 1 that's for it.
APE wrote:Mel, get adblock if you don't like it.
That's the problem. I do like sigs. I use them to quickly tell each of you apart. But I don't want someone posting 500k sigs that change every week that I constantly have to adblock.

But even beyond that, there is absolutely no reason why anyone needs more than 30k. I've been making them for years and find that my strengths in image design has increased through the restriction. If you image cannot be contained in 30k, then shrink the actual dimensions. Just because we allow 520 width doesn't mean you have to use that to it's fullest.

There is no 'wiggle room'. 30k max means 30k max. We once removed a sig for being 30.5k.
Orange_Ribbon wrote:Hoenestly I would like it raised to like 35, or 40 KB. Not to much really.
But if we raise it to 35k, then you will make an image that looks great at 40, but not at 35. And so on...
Rocky wrote:i vote for ths thread being locked. no point in keeping it open anymore, yes?
Considering that much of the staff have voted against it in this topic, no, there isn't much reason to keep it going.
