SoaP wasn't really a horror movie, but it was pretty suspenseful (surprisingly).

Also, Lady in the Water isn't really a horror movie at all.

Just saw Hard Candy the other day, and it was really, really awesome. Horror? Not in the traditional sense, but you may want to give it a look. Slither was pretty bad, but... I think... it was meant to sortof poke fun at the genre, so it's all right. Saw III should be added to the list. Hostel wasn't too bad, and since you have three days might want to throw that in there somewhere.

Hostel was a piece of crap. Terrible acting and story. Good if you just want a gore flick, I guess.

The genre of horror seems dead in my opinion. :(

I agree 100%. Hostel was basically a softcore porn for the first 30 or 40 minutes, and then was pure gore. No real intriguing storyline or anything. Just pure gore and sex throughout the whole thing.

I would guess that Saw III was probably good, but I didn't think that was available on DVD, yet. Saw and Saw II were both great films, so Saw III is probably pretty good, too.

Other than that, out of the movies I've seen on your list, there's really nothing I'd recommend.

Silent Hill was basically pure crap, Hills Have Eyes was crap, When a Stranger Calls was stupid. The Wicker Man looks like it was probably pretty good, but I haven't seen it yet.

Underworld 2 is a pretty good movie, but does it qualify as horror?

Pulse was a good one in my opinion. Just make sure you watch the US release and not the original Japanese film....the US film exceeds it in every way.

Well, the movie stands pretty well on it's own, but it does remark a lot on events that occurred in the original film. Some of it may not make sense without having seen the first, but it'll probably still be a great film for you.

I would recommend watching Saw, though, as it's very cool.

I thought the Silent Hill movie was decent.

I have seen the first SAW but never bothered to see any of the sequels.

"Underworld: Evolution" - Worth seeing, but nothing great.

"Final Destination 3" - Bad, but entertaining

"The Hills Have Eyes" - Kind of bad, but also gut wrenching and entertaining

"The Descent" - Quite good. Watch the British version if you can.

"Snakes on a Plane" - Entertaining, but not as good as some would have you believe.

"Feast" - Very entertaining, and very ludicrous.

"Nightwatch" - Pretty bad. Boring as hell.

"Slither" - I found it entertaining, but it wasn't great.

"See No Evil" - I was also entertained by this, on a sheer badness level.

It has a stop motion sequence in it which I thought was hilarious. It's the only part of the film I've seen.

Black Christmas was an ode to old slasher flicks. Predictable, but very nice. This wasn't really scary, but is oddly classified as horror, Wild Zero. Didn't come out in 2006, But I think it came out on DVD late late 2005 I believe. High Tension was fairly horrid, but again 2005 I think.

I didn't notice the acting to be bad or great, just acting. I found the movie overall rather entertaining. If memory serves there is a sequel being put out, hopefully it will answer some of the questions involved such as how noone notices their family going missing in Europe.

As for Silent Hill you need to be a fan of the video games. It was quality to a point then dives off the deep end. As a horror movie it's flawed.

Snakes on a Plane - is it even a horror movie? I figured it was made because of the title and the concept more than anyone thinking it would seriously fit into the category it would seem to be superficially.

As for the rest, didn't see any of them.
