I've finally made my mind up.
360 ftw. The Wii looks cool, but the lack of software that catches my intrest and Nintendos high chance to dick around with online play(GC, anyone?) scares me.
Im picking up a 360 tomorrow and getting a free copy of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfigter with it. Aside from that, Rainbow Six Vegas, and Gears Of War, what other XB Live games are good and popular? And aside from Oblivion, and non-Shooter titles reccomended?

It is in the main dashboard. You will need to either purchase points online, or from the store. The 1600 I recommended is $20. You can also get some pictures and what not, but mainly used for Xbox live arcade games. You will see after it is hooked up, easily one of the BEST dashboards/online setup ever.Eckostyle wrote:Sexy. Does the system come with Live Arcade, or is it purchased/downloaded?Juan wrote:Looking at your sig, you might be interested in SF2 Hyper Fighting on Live Arcade (in case you didn't know already).

I'll rephrase. Lack of software that I like/want. A bunch of my friends have the system and a slew of the titles, and all I liked, admittedly, was WiiSports and Zelda.Number Six wrote:Wii's lack of software?? It's been one month. What'd'ya want? A hundred launch titles?
I'd love to give the system more of a chance, but Im sure ashell not going to freeload at their houses and play their Wii all day. I've wanted a 360 since release, and offers more of what I want.
All in all, the big thing that was really tearing me between the two was the price.
i thought you "made up your mind" a month ago

You can pick up Kameo/Perfect Dark Zero/Project Gotham 3 for around $20 now. Burnout Revenge, too. If you're a fan of those genres, then they're all worth the cash.
Otherwise, Viva Pinata looks intriguing, to say the least, but I don't know if that would be something to spend $50 on.
My personal favorite is Gears of War, which is really, really great. Makes Resistance look like a big piece of shit. I like GoW better when I was owning online (my skill disappeared overnight, it would seem), but it's still great. I've played through the campaign like four or so times. Good stuff.
Oh, and get Geometry Wars Evolved on the Live Arcade. Fantastic little game, costs $5, but it's damn well worth it.
Finally, if you're gonna pick up Oblivion, the Mehrane's (sp?) Razor expansion is free for the week. Go grab it on the XBL Marketplace. It's normally $5 or $10.

QFT, RB6 owns gears of war in any case... (yes i regret getting the GoW pack)Lunchbox wrote:R6 is easily the best FPS on the system right now if you ask me. Theres so much to do, online and off and its really well done. Also, facemapping FTW
anyway, my recommendations, buy the system with NO games at first, and download these demos, play them, and see if you like them:
- PGR3 (somehow im a non racing fan, and i cant wait to pick this game up, its great)
- PD0 (not my thing, but supposedly a good FPS, and can be had for 20-30)
- COD2/3 (same thing, i have cod2 on PC, and its great)
- RB6 (as lunchy said, best FPS on the 360)
- dead rising (looks fun as hell)
- geometry wars (hard as nails but seriously awesome)
just download and try those demos, then pick two or three game you really like based on the demo, and buy those

GoW, yeah ok, that isnt FPS, but rainbow IS, except for the small "hiding behind cover, and going into 3rd person view thing", the main game is first personstagg wrote:Neither of them are FPS thats what's funny of both of your two post's..Disheveled DrFreeze wrote:QFT, RB6 owns gears of war in any case...
