PGR3 for the 360
if PGR had been 30 instead of 47 euros (platinum title, what is with the 47 euros?) i would have gotten some MS points too to get the extra cars and geometry wars

Bought a wii from my job (toys r us) today. In addition to the console, I bought twilight princess, and metal slug anthology. wii sports is lots of fun; I like the baseball, bowling and boxing games. And I wasn't able to play any of the slug games with the wiimote, so I used the wavebird; much better.

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past for the GBA (on sale for $9.99 at GameStop)
A second copy of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, simply for the extra set of bongos (I couldn't pass up two sets of bongos and a game for a total of $9.99, even if I do already have the game - I'll probably give it to a friend of mine or something).
Also, slightly OT, but on a related note, I bought 2 platinum wavebirds for my Wii today.

I bought Trauma Center for the DS the day before Christmas and just finally finished it tonight. I've put in a good 20-25 hours between the actual story mode and then redoing them in the challenges. I have about 3/4ths of the missions with S ranks, and the rest are all As or Bs with one C. I've tried the X1 mission but damn, that is incredibly hard. I'm going to practice with two stylii for awhile on other missions in order to beat that one. Really is a great game, although I do get annoyed having to hit that stupid call button in the middle of a surgery after I've done it 30 times, but that is basically my only complaint about it.
Thanks to Digital Chaos, GoldbergWWE, and ace for the avatar, sig, and badge!

Lined up at Best Buy last Thursday night. Went there straight after work and got there at about 10. Waited in line for about 10 hours. It was great, the people were really nice and funny. Everything was well handled. We made frequent trips to the Tim Horton's around the corner for coffee and food, someone brought a TV and hooked it up to his car, a lot of people watched movies and things like that that they brought. Around 4:00 A.M I guess one of the stock guys that was there brought out a clipboard and we all wrote our names down. They had 27 Wii consoles, I was #7 in line. Then about 2 hours later at about 6:00 they took orders so to say. Told everyone what they had and went around asking us what we wanted. I just got the Wii and a second Wiimote, they were out of nunchucks. I already had Zelda at home. At around 8:00 they came out with paper that had our name and number in line, and some other stuff but the temperature dropped significantly that night and we were all freezing our asses off (heard on the radio it was like -9 but felt like -14) and tired. We packed up our crap and got into a line, where we waited for another half hour or so before the manager (who was very nice to us, did things really really well) told us she would be opening the store in a couple of minutes (half an hour early) because we were a good crowd and were very cold. I was one of the first in (they let in 10 at a time, in numerical order, so I was seventh in). Walking into the nice warm store was somewhat surreal, as I limped to the cash registers (my feet, particularly my heels, were numb). They had everyones stuff in a numbered basket so everything was ready for you and they gave you the basket and you paid and left.
I had a great time and am enjoying my Wii very, very much. I'll do it again for the next generation of consoles . For those who didn't feel like reading,
-Wii w/ Wii sports
-Extra Wiimote
-Zelda: Twilight Princess
Also, a few days later I decided to get one of those Wii points cards, and with it I got Sonic the Hedgehog and Gunstar Heroes.

I went to a pawn shop where this guy was selling off his personal collection. He told me he originally put a $20 price tag on it, but after two weeks nobody bought it, so he dropped it down to $8. He also Starfox and Zelda, both priced at $5, but I already have them. I also already have a copy of Chrono Trigger, but for $8, I couldn't let it pass. That's just too cheap.Covar wrote:wow congrats. how did you manage that one? its not on the VC yet is it?melancholy wrote:Chrono Trigger (SNES) - $8

Everyone else here, bar ian, said it was fantastic. Reviews said it was great. I thought it was rubbish!
