VMU problem...

Post by muthafied »

Hi there, my brand spanking new 3rd party vmu(400 block/2 bank) wont work properly(dang!). It can be detected in the dreamcast bios screen and can be formatted. It also can be detected in game like normal, but when it comes to saving it comes up with errors ie "please plug vmu back into controller or replace with another vmu" etc. I have tried formatting both banks and used other controllers but no luck. I would appreciate if someone could help, thanks heaps.

I actually have a similar problem, but my vmu has 800 blocks in 4 banks. the brand is play-x peripherals. I can format the vmu and save but everytime I turn off the dc or unplug the vmu everything has gone.
my suggestion is that either the vmu is broke or my dreamcast (0-series) somehow doesn't support it.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you

Thanks anyway. I think I'll just keep a look out for a official one next time.
