Hey me too!
I'm trying to play a lot of the games requiring the pen and all the big ones everyone talks about. Here's what I've found so far:
Trauma Center
Gameplay is very fun but I really don't want to read 20 minutes of dialogue between all the characters. It's EXTREMELY linear. The same reasons I was turned off by Advance Wars.
Nintendogs
Suprisingly fun but some things ruin it for me. Walking the dog is pretty lame, I wish he would run. Also it's annoying to read all the dialogue when you compete in the events. I wish they would just get to the point. However it is really cool to raise your dog and watch his animations... for awhile. It's a good implementation of both the pen, micro phone and voice recognition. I would never buy this game but you can't appreciate how innovative and cool it is by seeing a friends dog.
Mario Kart
I'm a big fan of the series so I'm sure I'll like it. I'm glad it's not doing the coins again like SNES and GBA. It looks like it may have the most content of any mario kart game since there are 4 retro circuits in addition to the 4 DS circuits.
The New Super Mario Brothers
Before I started playing this it looked pretty lame to me. You can even pull up my thread after they put the first 2 videos on the website. I still think it's lame. The only game in the series I don't like.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Mini's
Played the first on GBA color or something and loved it. I think this one is pretty great too although the puzzles seem to be of a completely different style as far as I remember. Anyway it's still cool and some good usage of the pen.
Wario Ware Touched
Were there 2 for GBA? If there were I played them both, I forget. Anyway I thought they(or it) was a lot of fun. This one seems to have WAY to much of a story or dialogue and a lot of games feels like you're just quickly scratching the pen in the middle of the screen.
Animal Crossing
Eh, I think you know what to expect. Not any more or less cool than the other except for the wifi thing.
Brain Age
Hella cool but has some minor draw backs. Mainly the doctor not shutting up. Also the warm up excersices can be annoying for some people. I like them. I was absolutely amazed at the text recognition. A lot of my chinese friends tried the calulations and it's crazy to watch them. They go so fast and the DS rarely messes up. Some times the numbers are even written on a 45 degree angle.

I could never get used to the controls, it was just too akward.Covar wrote:fixed it for you. there's enough changes to warrent going through a second time.Veggita2099 wrote:Mario 64 even if you did play it to death on N64.
Anyways, Sonic Rush and Advance Wars: Dual Strike are both great games. If you like Phoenix Wright, get the second one when it comes out in a couple o f months. Awesome game. New features and new characters add to the excitement even more
btw: The first Phoenix Wright game is extremely hard to find. If you really wanna try it, you can order it from play-asia. It's the Japanese version, but has English and Japanese (selectable) text.
