I have my Wii, it's updating.

My Walmart just decided to do a midnight launch, probably because it got so many calls about it.

Drat! I'm jealous!

My local Gamestop had no intention of launching the Wii at midnight, but had no problem with a midnight PS3 launch. :x

No luck here. Every walmart in a 50 mile radious had people lined up 8 to 10 hours early waiting for it to come out. I went to closest walmart 11:30 and they said there was no chance. I called a few others and was told the same thing. Guess I am going to have to wait.

Heh, I waited for 5 hours (from lawn chair down, to in my car with the wii), and was 20th out of 31.

Hrmm... one wal-mart here is selling at 6am.... I'm headed there at 4:30 to see if I can get in.

If I don't get that, I'm off to Target which opens at 8am...

If I don't get lucky there, I will head to Toys R Us which opens at 9am....

If that doesnt happen, off to Best Buy that opens at 10am.

....... and hopefully I should have one by then.

Came home at 12:10, and hooked up my Wii.

Good times, indeed. Zelda is pretty sick, so is Monkey Ball... Wii Sports is pretty nice too.

Time to mess with the virtual console now...

Like Impetus, I will be waiting for the arrival of slightly cheaper, non-white models.

From this point on, though, that wait is gonna be pretty painful.

18 days, 12 hours and 45 mins :P
Actually Europe gets it a day later than Australia. So Skynet only has 17 days to wait.

They're making cheaper ones? Why?

I just ordered one from MicroCenter.com, but I'm still waiting on email confirmation. I waited for about 30 minutes in line at WalMart, but they ran out about 10 people ahead of me.

I got to Target at ~3:15. Waited till 7. I was 11 in line. They had 33. Just got it. Taking a break from Wii sports right yet. I like it a lot better than I thought I would. I do not like the menu system though. And I can't figure out how to access Opera.

Showed up at Target at 4am, and there were 57 total.

The unofficial count had me at #57, but the official count had me at #59.

Needless to say I bought a ticket from a kid for $30 and got a Target card, which eliminated 10% so I wound up even on it.

Now to play with it :)

i went to what i thought was a 24 hour wal-mart at about 11:30. turns out its one of the 3 left in the country that actually closes, so i decided to wait since i was about 28th in line. at six we finally found out that the store only had 20. not to be discouraged i went to a massive shopping center containing a bestbuy, target, circuit city, and toys'r'us. the toy'r'us had the shortest line (i would be number 12) so i decided to wait there. good thing to since they only had 15 after pre-orders and the line behind me filled up fast.

I really want one but I'll have to wait a week until next paycheck.
