I didn't think it was possible. They took a glorious game and managed to mess it up.

and now they have downs syndrome

The DS has scrolling in the original mode, and panning in the new mode along with butt ass ugly graphics. Yippy.

Thank God for emulation!!! Nothing beats the original arcade and the decent ports on consoles which include NES, PS1, and GBA.

Apparently, there's a game-breaking bug in the DS one; one of the bosses about 1/3 of the way through doesn't actually show up in the level, so you can't beat him and move on. There's a recall and exchange program in place for the game.

Wow, it amazes me that they didn't catch that during play testing. Makes me wonder if they actually play tested the game at all before it shipped.

Well, it *was* made by Codemasters. They generally make mediocre console software utilities. This is what you get for contracting development of your IP out to the lowest bidder

The Bubble Bobble/Bust-A-Move games have a history of bad covers. Anyone remember the one with a baby blowing a bubble? Or the one where a guy was holding his eyes open with toothpicks?
