Free stuff from work
I got eight free passes to see an advance screening of Borat on the 17th. Awesome.

Here's a list of free stuff I gotten from work over the years:
-A quad panel of Matrix Reloaded
-A quad panel of Quake 4
-A quad panel of Doom 3
-A display from the release of the original Star Wars on DVD (basically a 5 foot tall replica of the silver DVD case)
-A 2.5" hard drive external case
-A PSOne
-Three bags of assorted Monster Cables (everything from component cables to HDMI cables to DVI cables, I think there was even one surge protector)
-A Pioneer DVD Recorder with 80 gig hard drive (actually, I paid $40 for it)
-A 35" TV
-A 19" CRT montior
-Three sets of keyboards and mice
-Tons of random antivirus programs
-32mb flash drive
-MicroSD to SD adapter with 128mb MicroSD card inside
-Altec Lancing 2.1 speaker system
-Tons of promotional items, like Playstation and Xbox lanyards, pens, flashlights, ya know, the crap the reps give away
...I can't remember anything else. And no, I didn't steal this stuff, we just had a kickass manager for two years who didn't like old display stuff laying around. Almost snagged a 25" LCD once, but lost out to another employee. I also had a chance to take home a 5.1 surround sound speaker system, but I already had speakers and didn't know what to do with them. The manager has a no-Ebay policy, so if he finds out we sold something that was given to us, our job would be on the line.

Good catch, Mel.
Let's see...
A year paid of computer certification classes and books for MCSE.
Tickets to KC Royals vs NY Yankees, dugout seats and BBQ.
Tickets to KC T-Bones (Minor league baseball) with BBQ - twice.
Various small gifts from vendors.
Also a Palm Treo 700w for work.
the games were actually from software vendors, but work related.

Lessee. I have gotten:
- an 8MB CompactFlash card and some cables, from my time at the newspaper in HS
- a (really crappy) 5-string fiddle from some of the music gigs I've done
- a fair amount of sheet music and lots of free food from the music camp I taught at
- several T-shirts, a hat, and some stickers, also from camp
- several free movie passes
- an 8-Legged Freaks poster and an Adam Sandler marquee from my time at AMC
- a button, a book, some CDs, a charm from a Buddhist temple, and a lifetime membership with Environment California and the Sierra Club from my CalPIRG work
- some paper, a few USB cables, and a fair amount of food from my marketing job
- a roll of film containing the World Trade Center "Spider-Man" trailer, which I gave to my friend Chris
...I *almost* got a complete, free, brand new Yamaha drum kit while I was working for CalPIRG. I was talking to this woman, who was absolutely fed up that she'd bought her daughter these drums like a year before, and they'd never been touched except to use the bass drum as a laundry hamper , and she wanted them out of her house and offered to just give them to me when she found out I was a musician. (When you're canvassing for donations, you tend to get into long, friendly conversations with people). Unfortunately, I had no way of taking them home with me, and I was canvassing a good hour's drive away from home, with no cell phone and an overcrowded commuter car full of coworkers, so I had to pass it up.
Kinda kicking myself over that one.

At GameStop I got a free SNES and Genesis. One was supposedly broken but works fine, the SNES didn't have cables so they left it rather than keep it.
The best thing I got was a Star Wars Galaxies beta, which I sold on eBay for $150.
