Plain Files Versions of both BlackAura's and Warmtoe's Releases:
http://www.dcevolution.net/dsdevelopmen ... 006-WT.zip
http://www.dcevolution.net/dsdevelopmen ... 006-BA.zip

Tools Set:
http://www.dcevolution.net/dsdevelopmen ... -tools.zip

I've uploaded SBIs of both releases to DCHelp's SBI Repository.

(The files are called 'GenesisPlusDC-gpwt-250706-Warmtoe.sbi' & 'GenesisPlusDC-gpwt-260706-BlackAura.sbi')

Just for the record - I know it's GenesisPlusDC, but I like 'gpwt' as name for these preview/beta versions. :)

That's okay. I'll test my games and others will test theirs, so whenever a new version is out we could compare the online list with our notes. Not a big deal.
Also I really don't mind burning daily versions and testing the games again and again. In fact I really enjoy it a lot! :D

Sorry to bring this up again, but my rom is a confirmed GoodRom and it's "Gunstar Heroes (U) (!).zip". Do I need the japanese version or something? Because in the compatability list is said that this version runs perfectly. I was suprised that Shining Force didn't work though. It was slow but playable in the previous version.

All these speedy releases confuses me, I'm not sure which one I should burn now; I'm guessing BlackAura's release .. any help? )()(

Tyne, go to

http://www.dchelp.net/cgi-bin/sbi/brows ... rowse&Emus

and get the sbi named something like "gpwt-blackaura".This is the latest release of BlackAura, whose sbi was compiled by Christuserloeser.

Has anyone tested those games that need SRAM support to see if it works as it should?My brother's tried a Jleague game yesterday, and it seems like the progress couldn't be saved.

In Sonic 3 and Phantasy Star 4, everything worked properly

Work in all jleague but the result of save is only after 1st game (sram saves when pres L+R+Start, quitting game). A reset feature will be cool

Indeed, a soft-reset would be very cool, implemented rather as a button combination than a "Reset" option.A button combination has the advantage it allows the player to perform tricks that require holding the reset button.
A classic example for this is that Master System game called "Black Belt".There's a trick in this game to get infinite lives, where you start the game normally, and right after the red screen disappears, you HOLD reset button.

We all know the best SMS emulator for DC is SMS plus, but this trick is impossible to be performed in this emulator, cause it has a Reset option, and though it's a soft-reset, it's impossible to "hold reset button".In the other hand, SMEG 0.84 by Heliophobe features reset as a combination of X + START, then it enables the player to perform the trick perfectly.Of course, Master System uses 2 buttons of DC controller only, and Genesis needs 8 buttons, than creating a button combination is impossible for Genesis Plus.But maybe the developers have good ideas to make it possible

So far to this date:

* 2 CPU cores, FAME and C68K
* Full sound
* 6 button pad support
* SRAM saving
* Fixed graphics from Gen Plus PRV 3
* Hardware and software rendering
* All region support

Blackauras latest build is the best of the bunch so far....we have Blackaura and Warmtoe to thank for these builds. I beliebe Quzar gave a little info on how to speed things up a bit in C68K. The compatibility is very good if you add all the options up. I'd say with all the combinations we are at about 90 to 95 percent compatibility. Software rendering is slow though, so don't expect great things if you have to use it. It is more accurate, but in the end it is slooooooowwwwww.

My overall thoughts of this so far is that it is a great addition to the library and a much needed one so gamers can enjoy 16 bit goodness on the DC. The SNES and TB16 aren't well emulated as of yet, and the only other system in that era is the Neo Geo. Neo4All and NeoAES are great emus, but the Neo Geo didn't exactly have a BROAD base of styles in games. Genesis Plus has saved 16 bit for the DC in emulation for me.
