Just updated my website

Post by Strapping Scherzo »

I finally threw together something that resembles a website. I know it's not much but all least you get content when you go to sch3rz0.com

I also added forums there. Not like I'd expect anyone to ever post anything, but you never know.

I like the fancy graphic in the background. :)

It's basic, but it works.

That site runs pretty slow in Firefox. Scrolling down was pretty choppy.

I also went to the links page. Damn, DCEmu's banner is friggin ugly! :o

Looks good, well organized. But yes, it's slow on Firefox. Must be the floating menu on the side.
Lines join in faint discord and the Stormwatch brews

I developed most of the site while I was at work (shame on me). I have a 3+ ghz AMD 64 there. But here at home on my 1.2 P3 I notice the slowness of the animation too. I'll tinker with it and see if I can improve it without losing the chasing menu.

Tinkered... I got rid of the transparent stuff. It's a lot faster now.

Nice job. How did you get the border to rotate colors like that? :?:

Do a "View Source" on the page. The page constantly changes the css border values for that particular class. I thought it would be interesting. I'm more creative with code than things like Photoshop. However, I did design that "S" logo by myself in Photoshop. It's simple and looks like a lot of other logos out there, but I like it.

Just a suggestion, but you may want to dim the background image a little. It looks good, but maybe tone it down a bit, its a little distracting in the background there. Perhaps convert it to grayscale and take down the brightness.

Lookin good though *thumbs up*

I agree. Now that the transparency is gone, that bright white glow on a black background draws way too much attention to itself. Although I don't agree with making it grayscale, I do agree that it needs to fade a lot more.

Agreed about the background logo. I tried out a couple different faded versions with color, but I think it actually looks better gray.
