i really love a women voice in metal bands.........and more when they scream as hard as any other male vocal of another bands.......

but i only know a few............

Arch Enemy makes some nice music, click here for a sample.

Other than that personally I like After Forever a lot, a dutch gothic metal band whose latest album is not that much gothic anymore, I rate them highly and are worth checking out. She sings in a 'normal' way, maybe a bit comparable to Tarja (ex-Nightwish), and the guitarist provides some additional screaming vocals, not that bad

You need to check out The Gathering. They're a bit experimental nowadays, but I'd still call them rock. And Anneke van Giersbergen has the best voice I've ever heard, especially live. Check out their live album, Sleepy Buildings, to hear for yourself.

Don't compare Nightwish to those crappy bands.

(given that "crappy" means "I don't like them", not necessarily "they're not good")

Seriously, check out Crisis. I don't like them because I'm not really into metal, but they sound like they would be right up your alley. A metal band with a chick screaming sounding like a man.

i can see that kmfdm and nightwish cant be compared, but both evanescence and within temptation (especially WT, they are dutch

) are rather good, even if they arent exactly the same subgenre as nightwish
