Well, 3D Invaders certainly needs some work, but it's not bad for 4 weeks of maybe 2-3 nights a week effort. The donut shaped invaders are really just placeholders for now until I come up with some cool animated objects. It's very much a prototype that really needs to be rewritten.

I really apprecitate the comments fo those who took the time to try it out. So from what I gather, folks would like a story line. They want cool objects to shoot at. Another nice feature would be to make it themeable and allow users the add levels.

BTW, I voted for Dream Inducer too. It's a really nice utility. I may just incorporate that XML lib into 3D Invaders to add theme and level support at some time in the future.

Who cares about Final Fantasy, its always the worst decent RPG to come out, everyone thinks its the best, when really, its not.
Oh, FF7 was well worth getting, but the rest, are, kinda, SHIT!

Not to sound biased but the Final Fantasy series is at the top of it's game.

Others have come close (Legend of Dragoon, Lunar) but nothing has topped the FFs

Well actually Legend of Dragoon tops FF9

wait a second...wasn't DreamInducer almost in beta before this contest was even announced? I thought we were trying to keep at least in the neighborhood of six weeks to work...O_o

At least I'm not the only one to have noticed this!
Remember, SmashDC = 4 weeks work, in the time alloted for the contest. That SHOULD mean something, I hope.

Looking at this topic, it seems things are getting nasty....
And to be honest i can see why, it was a slightly unfair compo, having an app that is very usefull, against a great homebrew game, a cool demo, And other cool games from new coder to the scene EvilSporkMan, and respected coder axlen.

Regarding DI, have you seen DCGrendal work? He's a machine! I'm absolutly sure that DSanchez wouldn't of allowed it if it was in the works before hand.

And lets remember guy's and hasney

that this is a bit of fun, don't take it too serioulsy. Although i believe cactus shouldn't of mentioned his review in here though, which has caused more prods then its worth, but remember its his opinion, I myself have seen lots of games i've loved had a review in which makes the impression its a bad game (I don't read games reviews anymore because of that!). So please, please just try it, its the only way (its free remember!)

Oh and guy's and gal's have you all thanked Dirty Sanchez for this great compo. To my knowledge he hasn't been sponsored, or had help from any other members of dcemu/consolevison with this, and in the end he's the only one losing from this!

Thanks Lyon, but I didn't do this for any sort of recognition with it, and I don't think I'm losing anything. I spent approx $20 for a BBA (before you ask, at a GameStop, used, hanging by its lonesome) and wanted to give something back to a scene that really does provide us so much. I wish to god I had two BBAs to give away (no, you can't have mine... ;), but I do have other plans in store....

Please stop the needless bickering, I don't want something that gave us five great entries turning into a "scandal"....

I am in a new generation , the best RPG , is not even a RPG , it's FREE ( Full Reactive Eyes Entartainment)
