The Devil's Rejects?

Post by Vlad Tepes »

So, is it good? I've read that it doesn't suck. I didn't see House of 1000 Corpses...but I've heard Rejects isn't really a sequal. I dunno...I've just been in a "killin' movie" mood. I watched Natural Born Killers last night, and I was thinking about picking up The Devil's Rejects this weekend. Is it worth a $12 purchase? I don't rent movies...seeing how I usually forget to take them back :?

This is a true horror movie.

When I left the cinema, I felt like puking from being sick to my stomach. Great movie, 4/5.

I thought it was absolutely horrible. I didn't really think it was that gross, I just thought it was boring and pointless. The only reason I didn't walk out was to see if it had any redeeming ending, but no, it didn't. Maybe if you liked the original, it would be good, but it certainly wasn't my kind of movie.

Funny, since it seems to look more like an action movie than a horror movie. An action movie can have a lot of blood and gore and still be called an action movie.

For $12, I'd buy it.

I've been meaning to see it because

**HEAVY SPOILERS**

The entire family dies. I hated all of those ****ers. In all horror movies with a family of killers, ala The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I end up just wanting to see them all killed. Devil's Rejects apparently delivers on this.

****MORE SPOILERS, Now for the 2003 film Monster Man******

This is one reason I liked Monster Man a fair bit. The main character just butchers the bad guys at the very end. Quite satisfying.

i bought it the week it came out on DVD. Overall its a good movie. Its definetly a different take on the same "universe". its got a little bit of that natural born killers vibe to it. ive only watched it once since i bought it i think its time to give it another go.

It's camp...it seems like it deserves only a cult following, but it doesn't take itself as a movie too seriously and I enjoyed it because of that! If you like the slashers of the 80's and are looking for a similar experience but with gunplay, then this is your kind of movie!
