Man, I was just at Big Lots last night, and they didn't have anything cool like that. The only thing worth buying was the first four episodes of Sonic X for $1.

They never did a re-release of it. It didn't sell enough to warrant a Greatest Hits title.

I turned down that game for $3 once. It's like they removed everything I loved about FFX and replaced it with the opinions of 13 year old girls.
FFX-2 is actually a really good game. Thing is, you have to play through it (more than likely) twice, with the guide, having already played through and beaten FFX shortly beforehand.
If you do that, the story is actually very good, the battle system and sidequests are excellent, and the game is a nice change of pace from the other stiff ass Final Fantasies, while remaining somewhat faithful to the entire series.
If you don't, and instead play through it once, having finished FFX two years prior, and not finding a bunch of the key story elements, the game blows.
It's really something where you get out as much as you put in. You put in the 120+ hours necessary, you get a damn fine set of games. On the other hand, if you "half-ass" it, beating it in 35 hours (which is more than possible -- it's quite easy to do) and setting it aside forever, then it seems like a fluff game.
Samurai Showdown V (Xbox) - $30. It was an obligatory purchase. One of my favorite fighting game series...and possibly one of the last 2D fighting games to have an official console release...I couldn't not buy it. Esspecially considering the extremely limited quantity shipped to stores.
