yeah. I ran into a few snakers earlier this morning as well. And when I managed to JUST get by them and grab first place in the first races, they ended up leaving on me. f*ckers.

What I will do is attempt to leave my DS connected all day and if I see the little friend icon pop up, I will join in.

I just find snaking *INCREDIBLY* obnoxious. It's one thing to use your slides strategically to avoid obstacles and get around corners. It's another thing to snake. And I won't play with people who snake, because it's just not fun.

I haven't really seen it much, but I think it's because I don't do rivals, I just do worldwide everytime. I also don't play much, so yeah. I'll rarely play more than one match once a week.

But yeah, snaking ruins it when people use it. And Nintendo was obviously aware of it, since the Staff ghosts do it. I would have liked the game without the boost mechanic at all, point in fact. I can see why they added it (it does a bit of extra strategy), I just find it mostly annoying, even though I can do it without a problem after unlocking everything.

BTW, when someone disconnects, they get a loss for each other player in the game.

I've even erased my cute little eighth-note emblem and replaced it with a no-snaking sign.

I hope Spong is right, and that Nintendo does something to cripple snaking online.

does anyone else have problems playing on wifi?

i always get disconnected with an error message of 94030. I've done everything that Nintendo tells me to do; put the transfer rate down, turn off accelerators, made it a DMZ...nothing is working.
