Dream Match's audio was terrible - the music stopped after each round!

But the game plays better than any other game of the series. Plus, '99 Evo has terrible loading times.

I only got Dream Match '99 so I'm not an exactly 100% reliable source but I know that most NeoGeo fanatics say that KOF '98 (= Dream Match '99) would be the best game in the whole series. Then again KOF '99 (= Evolution) is supposed to be the exactly same game with just some minor changes, so you propably can't do much wrong with just getting one of them two...
Btw: Great sig, Juan

Heh I just tried it. I meant the load between teams, but it's not as bad as I made it look. I was prolly thinking of the PSX version...
Still, I prefer Dream Match because it plays better; has Mature, Vice, the Orochi Team; and Terry doesn't have a monkey

I liked 2001. Only thing I hated was that Igniz was close to impossible.

98 is my favourite (which is Dream Match on the DC). The music was better quality in the DC version, but they did use CDDA which meant that audio reset after every round so you rarely heard most of the tracks! After that I probably like 99 and 94.

Althoug "The King of Fighters 99: Dream Match" controls are not perfect, i think it's the best KOF for Dc (beign a KOF 98 "clone" helps out a lot, hehehe)
The runner-up for 1st place is "KOF 99: Evolution", IMO.

2k was my favorite. I would like 2k1 if the music wasn't horrible.
Have you played dreamcast today?

99 EVO. And it has near no loading times if you play from an original GD.

Mark of the wolves was technically a kof title, right?
Graphically, I think it was the best kof game for the neogeo, and very little was lost when it was ported to the dreamcast.
