Sonic Robo-Blast 2

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

BGM is disabled by default. Dunno why.

I'm sure doing a SDL port of vanilla Legacy would be somewhat possible (if you find someone willing - I really miss Bero, y'know?), but trying to load DooM levels through SRB2? I sincerely doubt it. I dunno if I mentioned it here or not, but a couple years ago, most of the coders chopped out any DooM stuff SRB2 wasn't currently using (they later put some of it back in, mainly for SOC/DEH editing).

heh well i figured out loading doom levels would be near impossible on this engine. as you said most stuff was removed that wasent needed. Doom was always one of my favorite Dreamcast homebrew projects. Heh I know i feel the same about loosing bero, there were a lot of projects left that had so much potential. Though I dunno who around here would be willing to try and even have the time at that matter to port the engine.

Nico: we got the same situation on the XBOX, everyone walks out on there DOOM ports. :/

nxDOOM is pretty damn good on the DC though. It has a few hassels with game saves, but over all it's great! Wish someone would pick up the code and mod it some more though.

Not to hijack this thread since it kicks mucho ass.

yea i know what you mean on the xbox. I have doom legacy i think on xbox, my friend and i have tried to get a network game going but never could connect to eachother. I have the doom games on doom 3 expansion for xbox, but its just not the same. for some reason nxdoom was always the best way to play it IMO.

oh yea and about the saving issues, i had a problem with it once. but it seems if u use the bottom save there are no problems for some reason.

Any news on this ?

I've been editing the Dreamcast-Scene.com article for SRB2 but the download of the latest version seems to be down:
http://www.lawrencegearheadz.org/~logan ... SRB2DC.zip

Are there any mirrors ?

Also, the official forums seems to be offline:
