Dream On Magazine Shipping Now!
I didn't want to do preorders due to past experiences, but the interest in the magazine seems too low to warrant a professional run with demo CDs.
I'm going to do the magazine no matter what, but the preorders will determine the quality of the magazine, as well as the fate of the demo CDs.
In order to do a professional run the way I had hoped - with a professional printing and professionally pressed demo CDs, I need a minimum of 120 preorders. Anything lower than that isn't worth it.
All preorders are guaranteed to get a magazine and demo disc. The only thing this preorder thing is for is to determine the quality.

The price is $9US including shipping to the 48 continental United States. If you're in Alaska, Hawaii, or another country altogether, PM me here first so we can arrange shipping costs.

There seems to be some confusion. Everyone who preorders WILL receive a magazine and a demo disc as promised. It is going to come out.
The preorder is for determining the quality of the release, not whether it will come out or not.
Everyone who preorders will get a magazine and demo disc. If there's 120 preorders, the magazine and disc will be newsstand quality, otherwise it won't.MetaFox wrote:All preorders are guaranteed to get a magazine and demo disc. The only thing this preorder thing is for is to determine the quality.

Of course.impetus wrote:Done. Meta, will you consider bulk shipments/pricing if I can get local retailers interested?
That would be awesome if you could manage that, imp.
Yeah, I have a feeling the bulk of the sales of the magazine will be at gaming conventions.Quotable Quzar wrote:Remember you'll probably be able to offload quite a few at DreamCon 2 (or whatever it'll be called).
I'm just doing the preorder thing as a safety net. It's a lot of money required up front for a professional magazine with demo CD, and I really don't want to lose my shirt on it.
The response so far to this preorder list has been really good so far, but it's still too early to determine (considering it only started today )
I'm going to post this topic on a few more forums to garner more interest.

I'm going to stop taking preorders most likely around the third or fourth week of November - unless interest keeps as steady as it is now. If that's the case, I'll be pleasantly surprised, and a bit more optimistic about the future of the magazine than I am now.LyingWake wrote:Cool, done paying. When do you expect to get them finsihed by?
I hope to get the magazine out by the beginning of December for a December issue release.
