You have the Resident Evil franchise ofcourse, were RE: Code Veronica is the best one. If want to shoot the shit out of zombie's , get House of the Dead 2 (a lot of fon and ages extemely well). And then you have a beat em up named Zombie Revenge which is fun for a while..

I've heard this game, has a tentacle rape scene.

Carrier sounds very interesting to me, however it seems to have a lot of 'dark' environments, is this true?

About D2:
I've got the japanese version, with the uncencored rape scene :P
Not much raping to see anyway, but I was curious enough to buy this version, 3 bucks sounded okay to me. I've played the game for about 2 hours I think, I still want to get an English version. It seems like an interesting game to me.

Blue Stinger and Carrier are crap.

D2 is also bad, mostly due to incredibly wonky controls and snail's pace. From what I could tell, there is far more cinematics than actual gameplay (I only played the first of four discs). It is better than the others I mentioned, though. It's a shame because the graphics are actually quite good, and the bleak atmosphere is well done.

Some more horror games are The Ring and Nightmare Creatures. (Not played either, but both were reviewd poorly)

And then, there's the bright spot: SWORD OF THE BERSERK. One of the best games on the DC, with action aplenty, hack n slash gameplay, nightmarish visuals and plot, and a huge whooshing sword as your primary weapon.

Don't forget Seven Mansions (NANATSU NO HIKAN SENRITSU NO BISHIOU in Japanese). It's a survival horror game that involves two characters on a resort island, caught in the middle of a mad scientist's plot to...well read up on it and you'll find out.

Cool thing about the game is that by pressing a single button you can switch between three views, that way you can chose which perspective to play the game: either through first person view, third person view, etc.

Additionally, there is a two player mode that allows you and a friend to play together and experience the 'horror' together!

Unfortunately the entire game is in Japanese, but if you know how to speak or read the language, you'll be fine.

Here's a link to the game if you are interested: http://dreamcast.ign.com/articles/132/132321p1.html

To elaborate on RE:

Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

I'm sure everybody knew that, but I feel special now that I said it. :D

Zombie Revenge is great in that cheesy arcade way (like the great but awful Dynamite Cop). Far better than most of the others in that list.

I'd love to know more about Carrier.

I remember a long time ago, my friend described it as "Really innovative."

But I never did find out why? Does anyone have any insight?

Carrier is an interesting game, but its not in the same league with RE:veronica, D2, etc. If you find it cheap, its worth playing, otherwise play some of the other games mentioned above. What's innovative about it is that sometimes the mutants look like humans and you'll have to use a scanner to see who you have to kill and who to save... there is a cool plant boss... but be warned the mutant animation is very 'anime'(manga) and when you see the first one coming towards you its possible that you forget to fire, just cause you're laughing your ass out.

IMO Blue Stinger is great, its a mix between an RPG and a horror game and has some crazy ideas (dead zombies dropping coins that the player uses to buy food and drinks) or how about a light saber for weapon? or the part where the main character is zombified and has like 40 minutes to find the cure, but during that time he can climb walls and ceilings to enter areas unaccessible before and after... or the radioactive pissing scene? People can say all they want, but Blue Stinger will remain a classic, despite all its flaws.
