Saturn resets to bios screen

Post by FunkyPoopMonkey »

Right in the middle of gameplay, my Saturn likes to instantly flash reset back to the BIOS/CD Player screen. Exactly like the Dreamcast used to, before I cleaned the power supply pins and bent them back slightly. So should I do the same thing here to fix it? My saturn didn't used to do this.

Maybe somethings making the lid switch mess up, so it thinks you've opened it. Or just a power supply fault somewhere

Arg I'm getting tons of problems now. Freezing at load screens randomly. Static in audio (Not streamed audio. Midi and sound effects.) and some other crap. I'm playing legit copies of games like NiGHTS. I was flying and all, and out of the blue, for 4 seconds, all objects on screen dissapeared and all I saw was the background forest graphic. Then it magically came back.

Wtf is wrong with my baby?!

It's not a lid switch problem. The cd access light seems active. The disc is spinning inside just fine.

Overheating? Maybe open it up and try to clear out any dust

There is no dust in my saturn. It's spotless. I think I'm asking on the wrong forum.
