hey guys

i was just wondering if there is any tweaks or anything i can do to get the best preformance out of xp.

i have seen some tweak guides but those are mostly for desktops right?
i want pure gaming preformance...

Bugs, bugs, fatal error, won't boot, can't do this, help....

Yeah, sounds wonderful.

The best things you can do, in order are:

Bleeding edge video card
At least one gigabyte of dual channel DDR
New motherboard and processor set
Fast, empty hard drive on a channel separate from the OS for your swap file to play in

I agree, there isn't much software tweaking to be done. Although, you can hack the registry to make XP less annoying (like get rid of the screen that wants you to send a bug report to MS if a program stops responding), there isn't much that can be done software-wise.

as for the contents of the forums, Raijin Z, tell me are the DreamSNES forums full of posts going 'oh what a great program' (which it is) ? no they're not. you somewhat miss the point of a support forum.
