A few years ago a Chinese resturant near here got shut down for having frozen cats in the freezer. It wasn't open very long, so not too many people ate the cat.
Proof?
My older brother refuses to eat chinese cause he thinks that they eat rat meat. yuck, if true.
Why?

Anyway, I've actually searched for a case of Chinese restaraunts serving cat or dog in the USA. I wouldn't be that surprised if it had happened at some point, but I can't find a single substantiated case.

Snopes also lists it as false, and their stance on it is what I tend to think as well.

well i see it as possible... gross as well... i've worked at quite a few resturants... and the "inspections" can be only so helpful...infact having a door with a lock on it made a inspector skip a room all together during one inspection. Well that and we got differnt inspectors every time and well we'd always play stupid and they let us off.... everyone is out there to make money and that how it is

Sure he does.
When he was born and raised in China?
That experience is surely useful in explaining American Chinese restaurant situations...
Are you completely senile?
Problem is, it didn't look like any pork I had ever had, so I asked a buddy of mine who's parents run the best chinese resturant in town.
First post. kbye.

ETR: This pork looks funny.
ETR's Friend: It's probably cat.
ETR: Really?
ETR's Friend: Sure. Restaurants that aren't my parents' all serve cat.

Waitress (Worried): Is Pork!!!!

Later

ETR: Hey, Leo, (Recounts story)
Leo: Yeah, man.... that was probably cat.

American-Chinese cuisine is completely a thing of its own.

Yeah the general makes a mighty fine chicken. And the only difference between the generals and sesame chicken is...

*dramatic pause*

... Sesame seeds (for those who are allergic to them)! At least that what the "King's Wok" people told me.

Now that I think about it, youd probably be better off if it was cat. At least then you'd know what it was and the quality of meat in chinese restaurants is less than poor.

Sesame chicken is spicy as well, at the local chinese place for me anyway. One of my co-workers likes the sesame chicken, and I can say the only difference I could tell is the seeds - and they don't really add anything except annoyance if they get stuck in the teeth.
