Neo4All / NeoDC - Neither will play my Last Resort CD
I bought a Last Resort Neo Geo CD game from http://www.egameaddiction.com (great online store) and I can't get it to run on my Dreamcast with either of the emulators. It just gives me the stupid "insert disc" message each time I try it. Any ideas how I can make it work?

NeoDC is untested with Last Resort. My best suggestion would be to pop the disc into a PC (or mac or whatever computer with a CD burner) and burn a new disc based on the original one. The machine should fix whatever funkyness there is with the disc's filestructure.
Currently the only emulator that has low level emulation of the NGCD is Nebula, and all we have are ones that read the files as if they were plainfiles.

Some say it's a form of copy protection, but it isn't really, it's just a non-standard filestructure that sometimes the DC can't read properly. I was able to get around it by having a completely different file reading setup, but it would have been immense work to replace everything with it, and it didn't always work =P.

I'm still working on it. I moved back off of my college campus though and have yet to be able to get my BBA workin properly. Also I've had almost 0 freetime. I figured a way to make it significantly faster, and am going to be working on it in the next week or so.
as for chui, i dunno, maybe it's because i havn't released a new version recently =P

no. it was announced that fox has BEGUN to port raze (which, if you know anything about assembly makes no sense, the whole point is to have something made specifically for the system) and will use it in neo4all and the amiga emulator (i think? or was it the ST emulator).

Go and see for yourself. The last releases run pretty much perfectly already. I'd give them a 9/10. It will be very hard to improve them... Thanks to Quzar, Fox & Chui for their fantastic job!law56ker wrote:what happend to these emulators?
I just wish Quzar would stop talking bad about Fox & Chui

It's only poking fun at an aparently humorous situation. C'mon, we both release 4 things within a day of each other each time but alternating who was first by a few hours?
as long as it isn't true it's not bad talk =P.
