My new White Game Gear

I just finished painting my generic black game gear totally white. I was inspired after I saw the rare white jp game gear.

take at a look at the original white gg, and mine. I tried to match it as close as possible.

I used white gloss krylon fusion, and topped it off with some armor case clear laquer finish.

Couldn't match the color up very closely, and it would of helped if I had the grey screen cover, and some green buttons, but I'm still pretty happy with the results.

yeah, it isnt an exact match, but imho your GG looks damn nice

Looks really nice. As for the buttons, couldn't you paint those too? I've never taken apart a GG so I don't know but I'd imagine its possible. Then at that point the only difference would be the gray screen cover.

I'm not down with painting the buttons. Don't really have any way to keep them in place while I paint them, and I fear they might get sticky when i play even with the finish on them.

Loved the Game Gear when they first debuted, so I like your paint job. Looks better in the white than the normal black.

If you ever sell it, though I doubt you will, people might think its the white japanese one

if you wanna keep the buttons in place to paint them just make a tape-tube and stick it to the bottom of them, the buttons shouldn't get sticky if you use a amall amount of paint and let them dry completly before messing with them....

it looks good, but i like the blue gg....and i dont think a red one would look bad, especially with teh black buttons...

I second red as a potentially sweet look for it, but yours came out pretty damn good.
