Fan rendition of possible Nintendo controller design
Check it out!
Of course this is only an artist's rendition and it clearly states that in red all over that pic. Kinda neat at any rate. Just thought I would share

The notion is that there will be something along the lines of a haptic device released for the next Nintendo system. The part of that pic on the right side is what is the most intriguing. Imagine a haptic styled device with the stylus (pictured with the buttons on the stick) that you hold like a pen or pencil and the arms that are attached can account for forward and backward movement, side to side strafing while the stylus itself could control the camera (tilting up and down independent of the larger arm movements) and leaning side to side for games like Metroid. That one stylus and arm could replace two analog sticks and a number of the buttons while remaining relatively intuitive and easy to utilize.

wow, that was stupid. anyways, i hope the rumors of nintendo sticking an lcd on the controller are false. Imagine how much money it will cost to buy 3 more controllers. But since ninty like to keep things cheap, this is totally unlikely. Besides, having an lcd on your controller isn't new to dreamcast fans.
I'm guessing they'll have a touchpad instead of an lcd. you know, like a mini wacom tablet on your controller. though that idea is just as stupid.

Nintendo has and always will be known for one thing with their consoles: fudging innovative controllers that are easy to use and very practical. That artist depiction is neither.
Adding lcds to their controllers will do nothing but increase the overall price of the console, so I doubt they will be doing that.....

LOL...you guys are funny! The controller unveiling hasn't been announced yet...I'm thinking Nintendo Spaceworld this year in September. There is a better idea of what this device could be like if you google for Senseable technologies. That is the company that makes a device called the Phantom and is a true haptic device. Very expensive and it is used to train doctors and dentists in medical and surgical procedures. Incredibly intuitive and utilizes force feedback and tactile response. Trust me...seeing is believing and if Nintendo has anything like this up their sleeves, they are going to put the entire gaming world on notice!
