A human version of the classic arcade game Pacman, superimposing the virtual 3D game world on to city streets and buildings, is being developed by researchers at Singapore.
Players equipped with a wearable computer, headset and goggles can physically enter a real world game space by choosing to play the role of Pacman or one of the Ghosts.
i have no doubts that this will go immediately to japan and not to the us until 2045 when vr is popular and namco releases their hundredth compilation err 300th compilation

thats so old. Peope have done that here in Adelaide cos our city is square and resembles the pacman game. But they just dressed up and left stuff lying around, I never saw it but I heard about it, I've also heard of them doing it Melbourne.

Ummm... Big difference using computers and GPS systems to create virtual objects integrated with real surroundings than people dressing up like Pacman and running around a city.

They used cellphones to keep track of progress and mapped it out on a computer in quazi-realtime. They just didn't have the visual aid.
