Great! More space, more roms! all i have to do now is wait...scherzo wrote:Thanks, don't worry. I'm rushing myself as it is.
ZIP support is already done.
The easter egg will be easy to find for anyone able to analyze some javascript (DreamScript). I already have an idea of what it will be. The only hint I'll give is that it'll be a kind of tribute to the history of NES emulation.
Ideas for Scherzo's NesterDC SE.

Will the screen flash randomly when you load a ROM?scherzo wrote:Thanks, don't worry. I'm rushing myself as it is.

Oooh! I know what he's done! Randomly, when we try to load up a game, it gives us a black screen. Then we have to go back to the menu, and enter a 3D simulation. In this simulation, we have to remove, clean (whether through the dubious and ultimately harmful method of blowing on the pins, or actually properly cleaning them), and reinsert the cartridge, with fingers crossed! Also, once every year we have to open the NES and solder in a new cartridge slot, or else our emulator will fail to properly load any game.
Absolutely brilliant, Scherzo. Even I wouldn't have ever thought to put something so true-to-life in an emulator!

they will in twenty minutes produce the complete source code to World of Warcraft.

Hi,
Hey Scherzo, from what I have been reading you are really workin double time and doing a lot of great stuff to Nester DC. Thanks for all the hard work and good luck on getting it done. That being said I have also read that you plan to make it so you can enter game genie codes manually. I was wondering if you could possibly put a save feature that saves those codes to vmu so that you only need to enter them once. (after that you could go to a menu and select what codes you wanted to use.) I have read the topic. Not sure but I don't think that idea has been mentioned. Just wanted to ask and see if that was feasible. Thanks for your time

i've played a few games on nesterDC 6.0, which has a few bugs, like the second stage of ninja gaiden 2 (the one in a train) is almost unplayable, the background starts "shaking" and making a very messy screen. a lighter version in this bug also happens in castlevania 3 (1st stage, chapel like background) and in some part of the 1st stage of ninja gaiden 3 (but is a minor bug in these two last ones, they are totally playable), what causes these bugs?
and other question: does nesterdc 6.0 support FDS emulation? because i tried to load a couple of fds roms i have, but i got a battery error (i put the disksys.rom in the same folder as the roms)

You know what would be a good idea that other nesterdc doesnt have, analog support, like if we can use the analog to play the game instead of just using it to change the frameskip, most people's dreamcast controller d-pad's are broken and it would be good if we can use the analog for gameplay
and OMFG, so many stupid spams that doesn't relate to the topic, we should get more moderators to delete these stupid posts that have nothing to do with the topic
