Back your code up everyday now and upload somewhere.scherzo wrote:On another topic... I thought I almost lost all my DC code yesterday. My hard drive developed some bad sectors. Windows would no longer boot. I had to run chkdsk and reinstall Windows on top of the old one. I think everything is OK now.

I can't get that to work. I click the exe, a dos prompt opens up, then disappears.compacho wrote:Here's a nice lil utility to fix your Rom headers.

I knew someone was going to have problems using it. Ok, here's a step by step. (I'm assuming you have XP):evanft wrote:I can't get that to work. I click the exe, a dos prompt opens up, then disappears.compacho wrote:Here's a nice lil utility to fix your Rom headers.

I recommend u unzip the files into your rom directory 1st.
Then open Command Prompt.
In Prompt, navigate to your rom folder. (example: C:\NesterDC\games)
Once there, type "nestoy.exe -rep" (example: C:\NesterDC\games nestoy.exe -rep) You can also use "-repair" too.
Once u done that, Nestoy should automatically scan all your roms and correct your headers. Nestoy has a few more options too. To know what else you can do, replace "-rep" with "-help" and you should get a list of all the commands.
(example: C:\NesterDC\games nestoy.exe -help)
You can delete program files now if you want, but I suggest saving the original zip file in another location.
Tell me how it turns out.

Jeez! He's sure got his hands full! I was gonna ask if he could fix problems in a couple games like Mendel Palace or Tekken, but with everyone urging him in addition to his pc issues, he's got a LOT to worry about already...
Nice vid, man. Don't let people rush you. Take it SLOWLY, lol.

I was wondering how any of the DBZ rpgs or "Dragon Power" was looking in this SE release. I remembered having problems with these on the DC and I think the mappers weren't supported. (I haven't been playing nesterdc since I've been modding bor, so it's hard to remember) Also, I'm also wondering how KNT is looking...for anyone who doesn't know it's the only game ever made of the Samurai Pizza Cats.
I treasure that game for some reason heh. Very nice work there schzero.
I've definitely looking towards this one.
