3.3V LEDs for DC.
I'm getting pissed of here. I've been to like every RadioShack in the valley and not a single one of them had any 3.3V LED.
Where have you guys found them? Hell, I can't even find any on Ebay...

http://stores.ebay.com/LED-Store_W0QQss ... esstQQtZkm Thats where I get mine off of Ebay. The guy sells em in packs of 10 and up and they usually are cheaper than one LED at Radioshcak.

let me set this straight. my dad is an ee. (electrical engineer). I told him to get me LED's that were rated for 3.3v and he got me ones that were rated3v but could handle up to 30 amps. I took one of those suckers and put 9v of power in it and it worked perfectly and nothing happened. point is dont waste yor time finding LED's that are rated fro up to 3.3v just get some that can handle 30 amps. take it from a geek

The 3.3V is more of a suggestion than anything else. You can safely use a LED from 3V to whatever (obviously the higher the dimmer and at a certain point you wont get enough power to light it). Just that if it's a lot lower than the 3.3V, the LED will blow, at which point you need to use the correct resistor to make em work. If you look though, most colors are rated at varying voltages, but most come in 3.3V like blue, green, and white. However, some colors like red and yellow are usually around 2.4ishdallanwagz wrote:let me set this straight. my dad is an ee. (electrical engineer).
