I'm going to buy a Xbox
At the end of this month I plan on buying a new Xbox system. I'm a little tired of my Gamecube at the moment, so until the new Zelda game is released I will focus on building up a collection of Xbox titles.
At the moment however I am thinking of buying one extra game with my new system, so this is my poll question...

If you can get Live, do it. After that, get Live enabled games like Halo 2, SC: Chaos Theory, UT Championship 2, Ninja Gaiden, etc.
I have an Xbox (well, a Halo Special Edition ) and Live is a blast.
As a side note, get Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance if you haven't played it. I got a new sealed copy at a local Blockbuster like in February.
melancholy, you should try the SmartJoy FRAG.

Mega Man collection for Xbox is only $20 now. Thats $2 per megaman game, can't beat that with a stick! And Xbox has about the best control for a 2d game IMO.
Of the choiced listed Id say Fable, I have heard a lot of good things about it. Morrowwind Game of the Year is only $20 now, if you can stand the horrible load times its a good game.

It all depends really. From that list definitely stay away from Area 51, its been getting bad reviews and with a market of great FPS Area 51 is a mediocre title. If you're going to buy the xbox and not use it on Xbox Live than I'd say go with Fable. It's not the longest game in the world (I beat it in 18 or 20 hours) but you have 2 paths to choose from so that already doubles the game time. Also some title's that are good offline choices are Ninja Gaiden (says live enabled because you can get game updates), The Splinter Cell games, Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic, and Project Gotham Racing 1 & 2 (Great racing games).
If you decide to get Xbox Live than Halo 2 is your best bet. The campaign isn't the greatest but it's still worth at least a play through, its the multiplayer online where the game gets all its hype. Even if you don't enjoy the campaign, the Online play will give you a lot of hours of gametime. Doom 3 is another good game even if you don't get live because the campign is real fun and challenging. I haven't played it online yet but it is live enabled and features Co-Op play and deathmatch and other gametypes.
In the end it really depends on what you're decision is with Xbox Live. If you don't get I'd say get Fable, but get it used and you can probably pick up the first Halo game or some other used games. If you get live, than I'd say Halo 2 or maybe Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Your best bet is sign up for Gamefly or Blockbuster's Gamepass and try some games out that way you can decide what you like.

That's like $100, isn't it? It comes witha 42 button (I think it's around there) controller though...King Jeeba wrote:Steel Battalion.
I say Fable, but the game is pretty short... If you get Live then get Halo 2 if you don't mind using a controller for Halo 2, because the campaign fo halo 2 is really short, but multiplayer is fun.
