buying from www.modchip.com

I wasn't quite sure where on these forums to make this post, so if necessary the topic can and should be moved.

Anyways, I've been meaning to get a mod-chip in my Playstation 2, so I got things worked out with a friend who will solder it for me at no charge. So I went to modchip.com and chose the modchip I wanted based on the version of my PS2. Off the top of my head, I believe the name was DUO SE 2, but it works on all versions, priced at 39.

I entered my name, and all the other information, including credit card number, and was told I would recieve an email or something like that, its already been almost 24 hours, so I am a little concerned. Maybe I typed in my email address wrong, but I doubt it.

Does anyone here have experiance from ordering from http://www.modchip.com, did you get a confirmation email, or did it just show up one day, was there a reciept?

Modchip.com works great, the only thing is that you can't do ground shipping because its based in Europe, so make sure you have sent via express mail otherwise you'll end up getting a form that is in german. I have bought my ps2 mod from there, the slide card combo and it works great.

Express Mail: US$ 3, ? 3
UPS Express: US$ 15, ? 15

I chose Express Mail for $3 when I ordered. Do you live in the United States? Did you get your product? and Did you choose the $3 shipping?

If this doesnt' work out, which would blow, where do you recommend buying modchips from.

[EDIT]: ResellerRatings is an amazing resource, most of the comments were bad, but I'm being confident, it seemed that for some people they saw the reviews and freaked out, but did get the chip. I wish I had used http://www.mod-chip.com thats what i thought http://www.modchip.com was, i'll just wait and see.

I chose UPS express, and yes I got my product in a timely fashion however I had to pay 15 dollars extra to get it. Which the total came to be 50 dollars. I chose 3 dollar shipping at first and a form was sent to me in german.

There used to be a really nice mod chip place based out of the U.S. but they went out of business. Was nice cause you didn't have to spend $20 on shipping for a item.

I ordered a chip from there for my playstation, long long ago. I would have actually reccomended them to anyone who wanted to get a chip. They were real friendly and replyed to my email within a couple hours.

just updating everyone, my chip did arrive today 12/23/2004 I ordered it on 11/29/2004. I did not have to upgrade shipping costs. I never did get a confirmation or any emails or customer service but I'm not worried at all since the product arrived and for me thats all that matters in the end.

oh and that_guy, you may ve refering to http://www.mod-chip.com, if not wow on the customer service.
