Is driving hard?
This is on a more serious note. I'm 15 and I've never driven in my life. I really didn't have an interest until just recently when all of my friends were in driver's Ed but me.
So, is it like really hard? How long had you guys been driving before you got a license?
I got my parents to agree to private driving school this summer so I won't go back my Junior year and not have my license.

Driving can be a lot of fun, as long as you don't have to deal with a lot of stress and evil traffic. Personally, I could do with a nice Japanese style rail system and leave my driving to wekend excursions. My last job involved a 90 minute commute (each way) through Chicago traffic, so I don't take take as much pleasure in driving as I used to.
Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy.

Don't worry, I'm 17 years old and have never driven. All my friends have their liscenses, but I have a fear of driving (or growing up, I should say). I'm a senior in high school, so I guess I need to overcome this fear soon. I completed driver's ed last year and got my certificate to take and get my permit with, but found out I have to drive to get my permit, so I chickened out. I now have no idea where that certificate is.
My mom has been in serious accidents throughout her life, one of which she suffered a concussion, and none of these were her fault, just the fault of drivers running redlights, stopsigns, ect. I inherit most of my qualities (mentally, not physically) from her, and she's scared to death of driving and hates it passionatly. I just can't get over this thought that I'll die in a fatal crash due to someone being foolish and me not getting out of the way in time.

Learn manual first. Having the ability to set the rpm and speed of the engine by gears gives you much more control. With a standard transmission, I feel the car is a part of me.
Anyone ever driven a 40's hydromatic sedan? They are asses to drive. Even though its auto it has a clutch. You dont know what driving is until you've hit the older cars.
