Close. The real host of the contest was MetaFox (it was the DreamON contest) and I just offered to help by publishing and distributing the games.quzar wrote:Last year there was a competition hosted by the goat store in which the top game would get published. The top two were so good that they both won: Inhabitants and Maquipaui(?). They were ready to release them, and when they pressed them, the discs turned out bad.
If anyone wants any nifty Inhabitants and Maqiupai coasters... I've only thrown about about 200 of each so far...
Lastly, I will as always keep everyone as updated as possible about any news I can divulge. I basically am just the middle man that helps get stuff done -- it's all up to the programmers and the pressers to tell me when I can say stuff
I've heard of an upcoming chip that would integrate an SH-4 and as Power Vr2 in same core (CPU & GPU of the DC)
is it because a new portable, DC-compatible Sega console is in preparation?
do you know more about that Dan?
why do you say "dreamcast procuction will be secure and streamlined" ?
I known nohing, but this smells like if a pocket DC is being developped, doing so, the games for the pocket DC that would be developped, would necessarily be DC compatible...
we could have "double release" with games that would fit DC and pocket Dc as well (mini GD-ROMs may be?)
this is all assumption, I precise...
I apologize for may bad english... (a frenchie DC fan )

Yes, that's correct. I have no information about anything going on with the hardware of the Dreamcast -- all I know is that the game production will now be secure and streamlined. What I meant by this is:
Secure because we now have a way that we can get the games released, and streamlined because we finally found a pressing company that doesn't suck and is able to turn around the games very quickly.
And I would say that the trouble we were having was... well... MAJOR legal issues this last round... But all is well and everyone (and I do mean everyone!) is happy!
