Unexpected reference of one game in another.

Post by DeGamer »

I just recently statrted playing MegaMan Battle Network 1. There is a reference to another video game that I could not beleive what I was reading. Possible spoiler below.

Before you fight ElecMan for the first time, there is a corrupt program that says one of the infamous sentences of Zero Wing, All Your Are Belong To Us!! I was like WTF :o Get out of here  I thought my cart was a bootleg for a moment. I would have never expected that., especially this late.

Anyone else seen this :?:

Theirs reference to PSO in Sonic Adventure 2. SO this is a common thing, I've seen others before but I can't remember them.

Yes, but Capcom didn't have anything to do with zero wing, which is why it was unexpected, Sega did it for advertising, MMBN1 did it to be funny

I finished MMBN 1, but I never really noticed that. I wasn't really looking for it either.

"All your base" reference is in spiderman 2, also.
Does EA advertising it's products in it's other products count?
Dante is a new playable character in the ps2 version of viewtiful joe.
You fight a monster that acts and the background music is the same as dracula's in Ganbar Goemon SNES.

Mysterio in Spider-man 2 attacked the city with UFOs. When I went to stop him, he told me, "You have no chance to survive make your time."

The reason for having: A firewall

Independance day, the aliens were destroyed because a computer was used to access their network and disable key systems. If they had had a firewall, the earth would be just another worthless rock floating in space.

Ryu Hyabusa from Ninja Gaiden is the exact same Hyabusa from the Dead or Alive series. In fact, Tecmo included his Ninja Gaiden costumes in DOA Ultimate (released next week).

That translation has become its own phenomenon; any association with Zero Wing is essentially little more than a footnote now.

SA2 on DC also has a refference to Nights Into Dreams.

Tales of Phantasia mentions the great dark night going to become a palidan and then its like ohh wait wrong game thats Final Fantasy 4.

Tales of Eternia(Known as Tales of Destiny 2 in america cause americas are stupid)
has a whole triva thing where it refference about 20 Namco titles.

FF9 had some FF7 references. For example, you could go to the sword shop (can't remember which town) and you could see the buster sword and masamune hanging on the wall.
