Look what my DC started displaying...(ok, so its TG16/PCE)

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Well, I started porting it at 1030am this morning, and right now its 430am and i havnt stopped for more than 10minutes. I just got controllers working well and speed up from only a few fps to around 15 or so (with no optimization and sound on).

Im gonna quit for the night now (after 18 hours of working on this my brain is fried =P).

here are some more obligatory screenies for those who I know really want this thing.

Er... which system does this "Hugo" emulator emulates? The quality of the graphics looks somewhere between a NES and a Genesis...

Nice work dude! I'd like to see you making a  in the front of the monitor in the next shot  .

You guessed the timeline perfectly! :o

It emulates the NEC PC-Engine, also known as Turbo Grafx 16 outside Japan.

Just to be precise it doesnt actually emulate the TG16/PCE (as far as I can tell) what it emulates is the SuperGraphx, which was the upgraded version of it, as well as the 3 CD systems that were availible as addons. I better get to sleep hehe.

That would be even greater !!! :o

Then we could play 1941, the successor of the great SHMUP 1943 on the DC :D :D :D

I was wondering who was going to ask this first and when.

Short answer:
Speed permitting, yes.
