This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.
aced411,maybe you can do a HARD,extremely DARK DJ-Style Techno theme for those who hate natural-sounding tracks
(perfect for the evil Bowser theme)
I know you can sequence some pretty dark stuff very well with what you use - Reason
Yet Another New Music Page from Synth Dynamics !
This time,it's music that I made 100% with my Dreamcast ,no external MIDI synths or PC stuff here...just pure Dreamcast music composed fully with a joypad!
You must listen to these tracks.
Enjoy!
need more music? let me know - check the link in my sig - mostly industrial dance/EBM/synthpop + vox... but i do all types of instrumentals on the side also
I will release a HUGE compilation of my homebrew music which I made in the past 5-6 years in a OGG .CDI image with an OGG player included, for you to download, burn and play on your DC :)
nakamichi wrote:Synthpop? heh! Do you have any music from you I can listen to ?
If you have a web page, give me the link.I wanna see what your music sounds like.
yup that's the one, a bit buggy if not configured correctly or used old buggy effect/generators... but mainly that with some extrnal sound editing for final mastering and of course separate vocal recordings
I couldn't stand FL's interface first, but then I found it's really good for sequencing MIDIs...
But FL Studio still needs A LOT of work to be really efficient. For now,it's only half-good.
I still can't find one piece of software that will satisfy all of my needs. I hate to use 3 or 4 programs and then complete the final project with yet another program...I want to use only 1 or 2 programs for everything.
Well anyway it's been a long time since I've checked back here, but I stopped worrying about the homebrew music since I didn't get any interest and ended up starting a band. CD is done and we're playing shows now in the Northwest. (USA) http://www.64k.us

Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I posted in the DCEmu forums and especially in this topic.
I was just about halfway doing the music for Cool Herders, but it didn't came out as planned (I had other work to do,leaving me almost 2 months without a PC and internet),so I left that project and I'm now doing my own super-secret music project :)
More info when it's done.I'll upload a sampler for you to enjoy. :)
aced411,yes,it's been a long time since you've posted too.
I just checked out your 64k promo page and listened to the sampler.
What software did you use this time? Is it BUZZ again? Heh,sounds a bit like like Buzz.
My thoughts about your music: I found the most of your tracks DARK(some even apocalyptic),and noisy, like hardcore rock meets electro synth-pop.
Not my style of music, but I really liked the third and fifth track, which stood out from the rest bringing more melody and atmosphere, and less noise.
I think you may do well,as today's people LOVE dark and noisy stuff. It's just not the thing I listen to(we're all not the same everybody has their own preference).
So,when my new project is ready (it will be very soon),I'll lpost the link to the demonstration sampler. :)
