I just downloaded some videos of a new Snes emu coming out for the Ps2...
And even at it's pre-beta stage games are running at a frickin 41-60 frames per second!!! Without sound though But hey, even if the sound implementation would cut the framerate in half, games would still be literally running years ahead of DreamSnes
My PS2 is already modded ;P It's really quite easy if you have something like a neokey, or if you scared to fudge with your PS2, there are places where you can ship it off and have one installed by a pro for around 30 bucks (which is what Im gonna do since Ive recently gotten a better no-swap chip)
;p
It's an off-topic forum, so I can talk about almost anything I want, so there is no need for flaming. To the one that called me an dumb ass, well, when that emu is released in a few months, Ill be laughing quite heartily as you are waiting for another DreamSnes to come out..

I'm not trying to sound like a smart ass, but using that same logic I already have a SNES emu thats years of the PS2 SNES emulator. Its called ZSNES and its for the PC. It runs all of my SNES games perfectly with full speed, sound, etc.... Heck in some respects its better than the real thing.
My point? Its a different platform and its like comparing apples to oranges. I dont own a PS2, and probably never will so I really doubt that this new emu will have any impact on my appreciation of DreamSNES or the Dreamcast.
DreamSNES is doomed. It was the best SNES emu, but there is now a new kid on the block. It's called ZSNES. It's pretty new, but I think the DSNES team better watch their backs, because so far it looks damn good.
Watch out DSNES - ZSNES is coming.
I think that may have beat the thing to death, set it ablaze, watched it burn to ash, and go wee-wee-wee all over the ashes.
But then again, I may be mistaken; that could be a record.
Anyways, I think that the only way that SNES Station could be considered competition is for people with a Dreamcast and a Playstation2 (I almost fear to say I like my PS2 best....), and who don't mind risking their PS2's livelihood on modifying it. (I came to this conclusion based on other info I read in this thread.)

The NeoKey mod is insanely easy to install. Just one jumper and whala! Even the R-Mod was super easy for me to install. I dont know about those Messiah chips though. I'd probably fudge that up unless I spent a lot of time studying the installation diagrams, and even then it wouldnt be fun. I'm happy with my disk swapping though. Its not really too much of an inconvenience, for the price.
