It was a greedy thing to do, especially if it cost the clerk his job.

Then again if the clerk was that ignorant about computers, mabye he shouldnt be selling parts and supplies for them in the first place...

Yea, that was pretty bad of em. But it was also his supervisors job to make sure that nothing like that happens. But still, that guy was quite a jerk for doing what he did, and gloating about it. I consider his actions nothing more than common theivery.

ya know...almost the same thing happened to me...only I was trying to buy 128MB ram and I got 256 instead. I had just bought the computer it was going in (good deal, but had hardly any RAM), so I bought the RAM to upgrade the PC straght out of the box. The sales person put the memory in a bag, and I didn't even look at it until I got home (which was an hour drive from the store). I actually called them to tell them what happened, and the person I talked to told me not to worry about it...that it was their fault, and I shouldn't have to drive another hour back to the store for something they screwed up on. The guy I talked to DID, however, ask for the salesman's name...so that guy probably got fired, but honestly...if he couldn't tell the difference between 128 and 256...he should get fired...or written up...or something.

That sounds too good to be true. I mean come on now, no one can be stupid enoungh to give AN ENTIRE BOX of merchandise without knowing that there are more of the same thing inside.

If this really happened, then that is one unfortunate person to give away more than $6,000 without knowing.
