uDCDivX v0.1 Released
Much better all around, now you can fast foward without it breaking, and there are no limits on the resolution (other than max DC resolution 640x480).

yeah! this is awsome! btw, what's the easiest way to burn this? why is it always released as "unscrambled"? i just want to make it so that i use the program as a boot cd so that i can swap the disc with other movies on the fly.
EDIT:I've tried using dcscram and have tried to burn the DJ image that was kindy made, but the image won't burn work right and dcscram won't work for me. will someone PLEASE help me out by making a nero image or maybe an SBI? thanks.

Bitrate alone doesn't interest me that much. If you get a chance, try out a full-bloat encode. Something at higher resolution (like 640x480) and 600-1000 kbit video, and like 128 kbit mp3@44.1khz. It'll probably choke, but hey.

sigh...i tried using Alcohol 120% and it didn't even boot up. what program would you recommend to burn it with? disc juggler always seems to burn images as audio cds for me so i gave up on that program a while ago. other than the fact that i'm a complete moron, thanks for the help.Mekanaizer wrote:Hi

dont use high res video, this don't matter (so much) for the quality, but it gives a lot of lag !
if you want hi quality video make one with a bigger bitrate, so you can have speed and quality

i tink that was the same that the dcdivx, the implementation was on the cache, speed, controls, but nothing on the codec.Gav-X wrote:Unfortunately, I don't have a DC to test this on right now. Could anyone confirm how does this handle multiple B-Frames, GMC and QPel?
@ Mekanaizer: which audio formats does this new version support?

That's not true. They're BOTH important for better quality. Why do you think 720p DVDs look so good on modern TVs? If uDCDivx can't run higher resolution videos at good speeds, so be it. But that doesn't mean that they don't look better. Besides, I was mostly asking because most of my videos are at least slightly over the previous resolution limits. I'm not going to re-encode all of that.Arqueiro wrote:dont use high res video, this don't matter (so much) for the quality, but it gives a lot of lag !
