SEGA Sports Black DC

Post by Spector »

I saw this in a shop last week - a black dreamcast with the "SEGA Sports" logo on the top. I take it this was a limited edition. When were they made and how many of them were produced?
I'm going to jail for homicide.
Wish me luck.

It's certainly the most common "special edition" Dreamcast, and not particularly rare at all. Black is still nice though. :)

I've heard rumours this one won't run homebrew, but then again, I've heard that all DC's can run homebrew.

As for the cast iself, not much special about it at all, besides the paint job.
Need a Treamcast, Dreamcast modchip, HUGE DC memory card, ASCII-like DC fighter pad, or Saturn Gameshark with tons of backup memory? PM me.

i think all dc's can run cd-r's. it just a matter of making the correct structure of the cd to suit the later models of DC. ie.. data/data......or 45000-data/data.

Isn't that what all special edition Dreamcast's are? Hell, thats what all special edition consoles are. Xbox, PS2, Dreamcast, ect.

Actually a few of the limited edition DCs are so rare you don't really hear about them, such as the Sonic 10th Anniversary Dreamcast and the "Partners" DC. You're right about a lot of the ones you DO hear about such as the blue, silver, black, maziora and so on DCs being very much possible to get if you're willing to pay the price.

there was a 10th anniversary dreamcast how about a pick
and some dc's they are ment to be rare and for some reason not to be pruchased for example

the Chu Chu Rocket one
and trick N style they are given as gifts and stuff byu the company...

but all released dc's are pretty much easy to find it is just the mater wheather you can afford to pay for em

how about we make DC emulation limited ediotion dreamcast

signed by the entire team of dcemu and has a green light mod and modem :D

that would be given as a gift and could go up til 300$ like the rest of em on ebay...

My fav thing is my 'modded' controllers made using the SS DC. Two tone =P. Also, i took a permanent marker and carefully covered up the Sports logo so it just says SEGA hehe.

:)

I replaced my black cover from my modem with the white cover on my BBA so I could have a black BBA for my SEGA Sports DC. :P

It took a bit of carving to get the phone jack size to LAN size, but it looks good. ;)

Heh, I meant on the cover. I wouldn't be crazy enough to start hacking away at the circuitry. That's an almost certain way to flush over 100 dollars down the drain. :P

All I meant was, the hole in the black slip-cover for the modem was meant for the smaller phone jack size instead of the LAN jack size. I carved the plastic out with a knife so I could fit the head where the LAN connector is on the board through the hole in the cover.
