the best way to measure the performance of your graphics card is to use either 3dmark2001 or 3dmark2003. that will give you a scores based on the speed and performance of you card.
The reason for having: A firewall

Independance day, the aliens were destroyed because a computer was used to access their network and disable key systems. If they had had a firewall, the earth would be just another worthless rock floating in space.

Use FRAPS -- an excellent tool written by none other than Rod Maher.

It'll do what you need, and then some!

Your FPS will depend on the game. Your card doesn't run at one specific number of frames per second. Most games have a command to show it, so fraps is only needed if it doesn't or you want to take video captures.

Ok, All I know is that I already intensely overclocked.... urr... a little, my core clock frequency used to be 250, now it's 300 and my memory clock frequency used to be 333 and now it's 400.

My overall 3dmark01 score went from 6082, to 6339, I think it was a little bit of an improvement.

Wow.. either your CPU is really slow or the 5200 is really just that slow. My Radeon 9000 got over 8000 with my Athlon XP 2500+ at stock speed.

8000 with a 9000 you might be thinking of 3DMark01 not 03. 03 is barely processor intensive at all.

my 9800 XT DDR-II overclocked card gets a little over 6000 and is hampered mostly because im on a system with a really bad northbridge (760MP) and registered pc2100 ram.

EDIT: whoops, im really sorry you did say 01. my mistake....

Woah, 8K.. impressive for those specs. A friend with an XP 2200 and Radeon 9600 nonpro only got 9.5K and another with an XP 2100 / G3 Ti 200 got 6.5K.

I got close to 9000 when I overclocked the card and my CPU. I have a 9600XT now and I get about 14500 in my 3DMark2001se.

my CPU is very slow, only 1.8 ghz, and yes, 5200 should be that low, because, it's like the lowest on the fx lsit, so 6339 is pretty good?
