Ian, Black Aura, Scherzo and all associated with DC emu's

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

I wish to take this time to give you public thanks for your hard work. I have been a part of the Dreamcast gaming experience since 9-9-99 and have been a gamer since 1983 or so (heh my first game machine was a vic-20). I have only just now decided to start posting here as it is great to see so much allegiance to the emulation for Dreamcast scene. I have purchased well over 50,000 worth of gaming equipment and games in my life. I have head every console system except a Super Grafx and a FM Towns. I have been able to restrict my shelf space to 3 systems now with your help (Dreamcast, Saturn, and PC) :D I know that most PC emus are better but I enjoy playing the games on a console much more for various reasons.

I would like to thank all the past emu authors and contributors for there efforts as well:

Takayama Fumihiko
Svolli
Bill Nagel (wish you would have continues dream engine)
Heilophobe
Pascal Bosquet
Comstedt, Bortas , and Hedbor

and every other emu author/contributor!

Sorry I do not know all names! Don't feel leftout if I didn't mention you! You are still thanked!

Everyone else, Feel free to give thanks if you would like! I am sure they would appreciate a thank you topic filled with a hundred posts!

I would like to thank them as well. Since these things are such hard work, I almost think they should be charging shareware fees. Don't forget about burner0 and his sbi system. That saves a lot of headaches.

We can probably thank them even more by supporting the Dream On magazine that MetaFox is publishing. It's only going to be five dollars, and the more we support it by ordering it, the more the word gets out on their efforts.

I would like to thank all of the emu builders, but even more so, I would like to thank all of the porters and homebrew makers. This scene wouldn't be what it is without all of the wonderful homebrew games and ports we have. :P
Kudos to everyone!!!!

yes, these folks do amazing work. i have been in IT for over 10 years doing anything from web development, database/DBA, desktop software ranging from languages from ASP & PHP to C/C++... and still i have no clue on how to code emulation, and even if i did have a clue, i don't know if i could do it efficiently. so... kudos

Yes, it's hard to spend all the time required to create/port this emulators and to make homebrewn apps and games, and most of the coders we have here have their studies and/or work, so I'm really thankful to them.

They're also nice people, and love to help newbies like me, them all deserve lots of medals!!!
